XLPE Power Cable
Deshraj Cable Industries manufactures XLPE Power Cable for power transmission and distribution for low tension voltage up to 1100 kV. We provide these cables for electricity transmission from the distribution end to the consumer end. The dielectric strength of Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) is supreme. It provides the best protection against electrical faults and prevents leakages. It saves power losses and improves the power factor of the electrical system. It also protects the bundles of conductors from heat, mechanical loads and stress. This insulation can withstand high temperatures during short circuits and overloads. In underground installations, it can resist continuous forces, wear, tear and abrasions without damaging the cable. Besides these, our power cable is resistant to a wide range of corrosive chemicals and moisture. For its robust electrical, mechanical, thermal and chemical properties, our power cables with XLPE insulations are widely used for power transmission in industries, commercial and residential spaces.
Specifications of Our XLPE Power Cables
We adhere to high manufacturing standards in making our XLPE power cables. These are constructed using copper or aluminium conductors at the core. These are either multicore or single-core. The maximum area of cross-section of single core is up to 1000 sqmm, while that of multi core is up to 630 sqmm. Each core is wrapped by an XLPE or PVC sheet for insulation.
For single-core, a single sheet of XLPE is sufficient. But for multi-core cables, all of the cables are wrapped in a single unit by an outer sheath of XLPE insulation.
We also provide armoured power cable with XLPE insulation for areas where enhanced mechanical strength from the cable is expected. To introduce the metal armour shield, the bundles of core conductors are first wrapped by an XLPE inner sheet, which is armoured using galvanized steel round wire or a flat strip. The whole assembly is finally provided outer sheath of XLPE insulation. We include fire safety measures by provide low smoke, zero halogen and flame retardant properties in our cables.
Following high standards, the aluminium conductor is crafted as per IS: 7098 (Part-1) and the copper conductor as per IS: 1554 guideline
